About the Artist
Wassily Kandinsky (1866–1944) was a Russian painter and theorist who became one of the first artists to make fully abstract work. He came to painting late, abandoning a law career in his thirties after seeing a Monet haystack show in Moscow. He studied in Munich, taught at the Bauhaus, and wrote extensively about color and form as a language separate from representation. He believed painting could work the way music does, directly, without translation.
Shipping
Every print is made to order. When you place an order, your print goes into production. We do not keep inventory on hand. This is how we keep quality consistent and avoid the waste of mass production.
