About the Artist
Jankel Adler (1895–1949) was a Polish-Jewish painter who spent his life moving. From Łódź to Düsseldorf to Paris to Glasgow, always one step ahead of what Europe was becoming. He studied alongside Paul Klee and absorbed the language of European modernism without losing the visual world he came from: folk imagery, Jewish symbolism, figures that carry weight. His surfaces are built up, almost sculptural. He never resolved the tension between those two inheritances, and that unresolved quality is what makes the work stay with you.
Shipping
Every print is made to order. When you place an order, your print goes into production. We do not keep inventory on hand. This is how we keep quality consistent and avoid the waste of mass production.
Production time
Most orders are produced within 2-3 business days. During high-volume periods (holidays, new releases), production may take up to 7 business days. You will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking as soon as your order leaves the facility.
